There’s a point in the game where everything comes together. The field, the crowd, the light—each one doing its own thing, but all of it happening at the same time. A baseball game at sunset is a familiar scene. It’s something people have seen countless times, but it never really feels the same twice. There’s something about it that just settles in. Standing there, I wasn’t trying to capture just one part of it. Not just the game. It was the intersection of all of it.
A full slice of it, the way it actually feels to be there on an early summer evening. It’s easy to focus on what’s happening on the field, but sometimes the feeling of the game lives just as much in everything around it. This was one of those moments.
