Hi, I’m Dana Lane, a photographer based in Leominster, Massachusetts.
My work explores light, atmosphere, and the moments where they intersect—whether found or carefully constructed. From quiet landscapes to stylized portraiture, I’m drawn to images that feel intentional without being over-explained.
I approach photography as both a technical craft and a creative process. Every image starts with an idea—sometimes fully formed, sometimes discovered in the moment—and evolves through composition, light, and timing.
My goal isn’t just to create a strong image, but to create something that feels considered… something that holds up the longer you look at it.
I’ve been involved in photography since my first film camera, and over time it’s become both a discipline and a constant source of exploration. I continue to study the craft, refine my process, and challenge myself to see familiar subjects in new ways.
My background in engineering plays a quiet but important role in my work. It shapes how I think about structure, light, and precision—but the final image is always driven by instinct and intent.
Based in Massachusetts, I continue to explore new ideas, series, and ways of seeing through photography.
