In Passing: Crossing Lines

Rust and StoneRust and StoneTwo intersecting rusty beams cut across a beige concrete wall, their surfaces shifting from dark red to bright orange. The textures of rust and concrete create a stark contrast — a minimalist architectural photograph where color, decay, and geometry meet.📸 Sometimes the beauty of architecture isn’t in perfection, but in how time leaves its mark. Rust never sleeps. I find myself photographing neglected things a lot. Old cars rusting away, abandoned factories with rusty bones, things that most people probably walk past without giving a second thought.

I think what attracts me is the idea of finding something beautiful in a pool of neglect. Rust brings its own colors and textures, and things that were once purely functional start becoming something else as they decay.

In this case, it was the crossing diagonal lines that caught my attention first, along with the contrast between the rusty metal and the texture behind it.

What about you? Is there something most people would consider ugly, broken or past its prime that you find beautiful?
